Below is a selection of projects we have worked on over the last few years.

Main Control Room University of Hertfordshire

University of Hertfordshire

The complex comprised of a main studio with control and live room, a similar, smaller, two roomed studio and a two roomed dubbing suite. The newly built rooms had no acoustic treatment so a Live End / Dead End design was specified for the Main studio with more modest designs for the other two studios to fit the budget available.

The Crew Club youth centre, Brighton

The client commissioned us to design and build a room within a room recording studio for the many young people that use their club. The project was completed to a high standard of finish and all acoustic treatment and equipment was supplied by us.

The inner room is floated on Sylomer pads and the amount of isolation is such that a drum kit played loudly can hardly be heard in the adjacent IT suite and corridoor.

Northgate Youth Centre absorber panels

Northgate Youth Centre Bishop's Stortfordare

These acoustic panels were constructed of wood, mineral wool and mass loaded vinyl to act as a broadband absorber. The front of the panels are protected by a wire mesh grill covered by an acoustically transparent scrim with images printed on them. The mesh was added as a protection as the hall is used for ball games as well as concerts by bands and DJ's.

Abington Hall in Cambridgeshire

This room in Great is used as a community cafe in the daytime with many elderly patrons finding conversation tiresome in the reverberant room.

Custom designed melamine foam panels with flame retardant fabric coverings were installed by us and the cafe customers reported a much improved environment for socialising.

Acoustic panels in Bullfields Centre Hertfordshire

Bullfields Community Centre Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire

This room is used as both a community centre, nursery and local youth club. The concrete walls and hard floor in the main hall contributed to a long reverberation time which made public speaking, difficult and youth club and nursery sessions distressing for both staff and children.

Absorbtive panels were mounted around the walls and the reverberation time was reduced considerably.

The staff at the centre reported increased speech inteligibility, an improvement in behavious from young people in the youth club and a reduction in stress and tiredness for themselves.

Village Hall, Redbourn, Hertfordshire

This room is used as a nursery in the daytimes and often for childrens parties at the weekend. The highly reverberant surfaces were tamed with fabric covered melamine foam panels and the staff of the nursery commented that they had improved stress levels and the children were better behaved and more engaging.

Training Projects

We have delivered training projects in sound engineering and music technology to both adults and young people and can customise and design course material to suit equipment you already own.

The schematic on the right was designed to demonstrate the inter-connectivity of around 10 different brands of sound reinforcement equipment specific to one client and a 2 day course was designed around this with both theoretical and practical demonstration with all delegates involved in hands on learning.

Similarly, we can provide training for workplace noise to comply with the Noise at Work regulations 2005 with audio demonstrations and practical demonstration.
